The AgSkilled program was a 3-year workforce development strategy that ran from July 1, 2017 - June 30, 2020.

AgSkilled was the first of its kind. It was a $14.7million NSW Government funded industry led workforce development strategy, seeking to upskill NSW's Cotton and Grains workforces to manage the challenges of the future.

What DID AgSkilled Fund?

AgSkilled was administered through NSWs Smart & Skilled program. It subsidised the cost of Full Qualifications (Cert I - Advanced Diploma) on the NSW Skills List and fully subsidised the cost of select Part Qualifications (units taken from full qualifications).

AgSkilled funded training was available to those with a genuine interest in NSW's cotton or grains industries, subject to Smart and Skilled eligibility requirements. It was available to those genuinely looking to join either industry including school leavers, jobseekers and those looking for a career change.
