The AgSkilled strategy was based around four key training pillars; safety, production, technology and business. Training was tailored to suit individual business needs, and was designed to suit learners with a range of skills and experience, from farm owners through to new industry entrants.

AgSkilled was administered under NSWs Smart & Skilled program. AgSkilled subsidised the cost of Full Qualifications (Cert I - Advanced Diploma) on the NSW Skills List and fully subsidises the cost of select Part Qualifications (units taken from full qualifications, from one up to half of a full qualification).
