PRECISION AGRONOMY

This course is delivered by Tocal College and covers planning and managing variable rate applications, interpreting NDVI and yield data on-farm, agronomic principles, interpreting soil maps and samples to match soils and fertilisers, calibration and use of spreading equipment and an introduction to GPS Guidance, variable rate controllers and auto-steer technologies.

WHO IS THIS COURSE DESIGNED FOR?

This course is designed for farmers, farm staff and agronomists, with course is designed to provide purposeful and practical training that can be implemented in the day to day running of farming businesses at every level.

DELIVERY

This course is delivered at 2 x 2 day workshops, with homework and an online module.

Workshop 1

• A two-day interactive classroom session

• Commencement of the online module

• A Case Study using your own farm data to be completed before Workshop 2

• Spreader activity.

Workshop 2

• A two-day interactive classroom session

• Online module continued to completion.
